Earning Avios from Aer Lingus Flights

Aer Lingus has a frequent flyer program called AerClub where you can earn miles based on your spending. Generally, you will collect 3 Avios for every €1 spent on flights flown with Aer Lingus excluding taxes, fees and charges.

This means you will be able to earn around 3,200 Avios on this ticket booked. However, if you decide to credit to the partner program, even though it is a business class fare, the crediting rates are 25% of the distance flown. Therefore, I recommend you credit these Avios to AerClub.

The AerClub miles, using Avios as the main currency, can be transferred to three different partners:

  • British Airways Executive Club
  • Iberia Plus
  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club

This is why you can maximize the Avios earnings on AerClub and then transfer to other programs for award redemptions.
