Air Canada just announced another exciting new route today as it will add Singapore to its international network from Vancouver.
Air Canada Will Launch Singapore Route In April 2024
The airline has announced that as of April 3, 2023, it will be launching non-stop flights from Vancouver (YVR) to Singapore (SIN). There will be 4x weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with the following schedule:
- AC19 Vancouver to Singapore departing at 12:15 and arriving at 07:10 (+1 day)
- AC20 Singapore to Vancouver departing at 09:10 and arriving at 08:45
For the return flight, given the time zone difference, it will be operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The total flight time is blocked at 15hr55min outbound and 14hr35min inbound and a Boeing B787-9 will be used to fly to New York which features 298 seats: 30 Signature Class, 21 Premium Economy and 247 Economy Class seats.
How Well Air Canada Will Be Doing On This Route
Currently, there is only Singapore Airlines operating 3x weekly flights between Singapore however, the airline will be cutting this route as of October 2023.

Furthermore, the flight schedule has been adjusted to conveniently connect to and from destinations across North America via Vancouver and, in Singapore to and from destinations across Asia, Australia and India with Star Alliance and codeshare partner Singapore Airlines.
Summary
For the first time, Air Canada will be connecting Vancouver and Singapore as of April 2023 with 4x weekly flights between the two cities. With Singapore Airlines axing this route later this year, Air Canada will be largely benefiting from this network.
