Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Partnership With Lyft

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Partnership With Lyft

Alaska Airlines and Lyft have teamed up to launch a new partnership to let Mileage Plan members earn miles on Lyft rides. With this partnership, Alaska Airlines became the third major US airline to be able to earn miles on the taxi riding app.

Mileage Plan Members Earn 1~2 Miles On All Lyft Rides

With the new partnership between Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan and Lyft, members are now able to earn 1 mile for every US$1 spent on all Lyft rides. What’s better, during this holiday season, through December 31, 2022, members are able to earn 2 miles per US$1 on Lyft rides.

There is also no maximum cap on earning miles on Alaska and Lyft partnership.

Sangita Woerner, senior vice president of marketing and guest experience at Alaska Airlines said:

“We always want our guests to have a terrific travel experience, even when they’re not flying with us. Our new partnership with Lyft makes sure our flyers are also cared for on the ground as they go places.” “Alaska and Lyft are both respected brands by millions of customers who turn to us for access to their preferred modes of transportation.”

Unfortunately, Lyft is only operating in the North American region and is valid for rides in the US and Canada only. Also, only base fare rideshare charges excluding taxes, fees, tolls and tips are eligible to earn miles. Bike and scooter rides are not eligible for earning miles.

Linking Up Mileage Plan & Lyft

To link the Mileage Plan and Lyft accounts, simply visit It is a very straightforward process where you just have to sign in to both accounts. After linking both accounts, you have to make sure your rewards earning preference is chosen for Alaska Mileage Plan.

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan and Lyft have announced a partnership where Mileage Plus members are able to earn 1 mile on each US$1 spent. And throughout this year, members can earn 2 miles per dollar spent. What I like about the partnership with Alaska is the fact there is no limit on mileage earning.

This would be the best way to earn miles compared to Hilton Honors or Delta.
