ITA Airways Volare program is having a promotion when staying at over 120 Best Western properties in Italy.
About ITA Airways Volare Program
Volare is ITA Airways frequent flyer program that debuted this January after Alitalia and its Milemiglia program got rebranded. There are four tiers to this program: Smart, Plus, Premium and Executive and members will earn 10 points for each euro spent (Based on the Smart tier) on ITA Airways flights.
Earn 600 ITA Airways Volare Points Per Stay
With no limit on the dates of stay, from today until there is further notice, ITA Airways Volare members who book a stay from 180 hotels around Italy via the Best Western – ITA-affiliated website will earn 600 Volare points per stay.
Here are the terms and conditions of the reservation:
- The reservation must be made through the group’s channels (Best Western Website) or by calling Best Western Booking Center.
- The customer is enrolled in the Best Western Rewards loyalty program;
- The stay took place in Italy in Best Western hotels.
- Bookings made by third-party online travel agencies are not valid.
As I mentioned above, Volare members will earn 10 points per euro (before elite bonuses) spent on ITA-operated flights. This means spending at hotels that more than 60 euros will be a little loss for the members as the points will be credited on a “stay” basis.
Redeem Volare Points On Best Western Properties In Italy
Not only you can earn Volare points from staying at Best Western properties in Italy, but you could also redeem the points in exchange for a hotel voucher. The Best Western stay voucher includes one night for two people in a double room with breakfast included.
The rate of redemption is 26,500 Volare Points for one free night.
In order to redeem there are some steps to follow:
- First, you need to convert the Volare points to a voucher online.
- Then once receiving the voucher, you have to choose the participating Best Western Hotels in Italy from the list here.
- Lastly, to make a booking call the Best Western Reservation Center at least 7 days prior to the arrival date 800 177850 and tell the representative the Voucher Code and the initials WF Voucher One night.
And for redeeming the vouchers, the terms and conditions are as follows:
- Any cancellation of the reservation must be made 7 days before the arrival date.
- Tourist taxes that exist in some cities are not included in the Voucher.
- The Voucher can only be used once, and the reservation is subject to availability.
But to be honest, redeeming 26,500 points on a hotel is not what I would do as one-way domestic flight costs as low as 2,300 points while international flights on ITA Airways cost a minimum of 32,200 points.
Summary
Best Western and ITA Airways Volare program is offering an unlimited 600 points per stay at Best Western properties within Italy. Although the Volare program still needs more improvements, those who reside in Italy or who mainly use the Volare program.
Aside from earning, members can also convert Volare points to hotel vouchers. But I wouldn’t really recommend transferring large amounts of points to a hotel that costs US$300 per night. I rather save up and redeem on flights.
