STELIA Aerospace has just revealed a concept of their new business class seat with privacy doors.
STELIA Aerospace RENDEZ-VOUS Business Class Seat
STELIA Aerospace, an Airbus subsidiary, has unveiled its brand new business class seat design called “Rendez-Vous” which is developed for wide-body aircraft. The new seat will be in a staggered configuration and is one of the widest seats on the market.
The seat features a privacy door and a high level of customization to meet the highest level of comfort and luxury. STELIA describes the seat as follows:
- – A 100% direct aisle access for all passengers
- – A large privacy door, turning the seat into a wide and comfortable private suite
- – A spacious and comfortable fully flat bed (single or double)
- – A customizable console to match the airline brand
- – Integration of the latest IFE technology
- – A wide and stable dining table
The RENDEZ-VOUS seats are built in staggered configuration but some of the center seats, probably the even number seats, can turn into a double bed. This is especially great when traveling as a couple.
The window seats will be in an alternating pattern with the odd number of seats facing nearer to the aisle and the even number of seats near to the window. So if you prefer extra privacy on top of the door, I’d recommend the even number of rows. (Keep in mind the position and layout may change based on the airline customer’s final interior configuration).
STELIA Aerospace Wide-Body Business Class Products
STELIA Aerospace has offered four different types of business class seating products like the Solstys Seats and Symphony Seats. These seats can be found in Thai Airways’ Airbus A350s to Singapore Airlines’ regional A350s.
The new business class seat is definitely an upgrade from the current Solstys seats found on many airlines. To pick the nearest competitor, the RENDEZ-VOUS seats are nearly identical to the Thompson Aero VantageXL seats with doors that are found in Delta’s fleet.
