British Airways has announced that the airline will be flying to Cincinnati, Ohio starting next summer.
British Airways Flies To Cincinnati Starting June 2023
Starting June 5, 2023, British Airways will commence operation to Cincinnati, Ohio offering a direct flight from London Heathrow. With flights to Cincinnati airport, the airline will be the only direct flight from the UK and all of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
The flight will operate five times per week in the summer season and four in the winter connecting access to a wide range of US destinations for passengers.
Neil Chernoff, Director of Networks and Alliances at British Airways, said:
“This is the first time we’ve flown this route, and we can’t wait to connect two cities which both have so much to offer. Not only will this open up these destinations to customers on each side of the Atlantic, but it will also improve connectivity between the Cincinnati region, Europe and beyond, with opportunities to connect to our wider network via London.”

About Cincinnati Airport
Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is geographically bordering three different states: Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. The airport is a major hub for cargo airlines such as Atlas Air or DHL and offers a wide domestic route throughout the US.
However, there are no direct international flights out of this airport so British Airways will be the first to operate a transatlantic flight out of Cincinnati, greatly reducing the travel time for passengers.

British Airways US Routes
British Airways currently serves 26 US destinations and the addition of Cincinnati will make it the 27th destination the airline will fly to. This will increase the airline to as high as 300 transatlantic flights per week, the most of any UK airline.
The schedule for London(LHR) – Cinncinati(CVG) will be as follows:
- BA121 – London to Cincinnati departing at 16:05 and arriving at 19:45
- BA120 – Cincinnati to London departing at 21:30 and arriving at 10:15(+1)
The flight will cover 3,963 miles with a flight time blocked at 8hr 40mins to the US and 7hr 45min back to London. And during the winter season, there will be minor schedule changes.

British Airways will fly 5X weekly from London to Cincinnati and 4X for the return flights.
Also, British Airways will operate Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner with three cabins – World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and Club World (business). Unfortunately, there will be no first class on this route offered and its business class is not Club Suites.

British Airways is growing its US destinations with favorable fares thanks to the Atlantic Joint Business (AJB). The AJB brings together the flight network of Aer Lingus, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia and LEVEL operating in Europe and Israel, and American Airlines in the USA.
Summary
British Airways will launch its 27th US destination: Cincinnati, Ohio starting next June. It will operate 5X weekly flights from London and 4X weekly from Cincinnati with a Boeing B787-8.
This new direct transatlantic will make British Airways’ presence strong in cities where there are lesser direct international passenger flights.
