Not long ago, Air Canada’s Aeroplan program launched a promotion on purchased points with a bonus but today the program is once again back with a bonus on points purchased. This time Aeroplan is offering a mystery bonus that goes up to 115%.
Buy Aeroplan Points With A Bonus

Air Canada Aeroplan is offering a mystery bonus of up to 115% when purchasing points through November 28, 2022. Keep in mind that different members will benefit from different bonuses so I’d ask you to check your account on how much bonus you will get.
Based on the promotion page, it is believed that the maximum bonus members will receive is between 105% ~ 115%.

Here are the bonuses based on points purchased (115%):
- Buy 10,000 – 45,000 points, receive a 60% bonus
- Buy 50,000 – 90,000, receive a 80% bonus
- Buy 100,000+ points, receive a 115% bonus
While these are the bonuses on points purchased (105%):
- Buy 4,000 – 29,000 points, receive a 60% bonus
- Buy 30,000 – 70,000, receive a 80% bonus
- Buy 80,000+ points, receive a 105% bonus
It is unofficial but I think Aeroplan offers the bonuses based on point purchase history or by program tiers. While I am not an elite member of Aeroplan, I purchased a whole load of points from time to time. And when I compare this with some of my friends who are not either elite or don’t frequently buy points, they got 105%.

Air Canada Aeroplan Points Pricing
Aeroplan normally sells points for CAD$0.035 each and has a maximum purchase limit of 1 million points per calendar year including bonuses.
But during this bonus points promotion, the cap has slightly increased. When you buy 500,000 points, you will receive a total of 1,075,000 points for CA$17,500. This sounds like a lot of points and money to be paid but still, you are able to buy points as low as CA$0.016 each.

Redeeming Air Canada Aeroplan Points
Air Canada Aeroplan program is one of my favorite programs and it has a variety of airline partners to redeem points, even with non-Star Alliance members. Aeroplan has the most airline partners than any other program so it is worth buying points with extra bonuses.
There are also advantages to why Aeroplan is one of my favorites:
- Aeroplan does not charge fuel surcharges on award redemptions.
- A stopover is allowed on one-way booking for just 5,000 points additional.
- The redemption rate is based on a combination of zone and distance.
The program also does not charge a high number of points for redemptions. For example, a one-way first-class ticket on Lufthansa from Central America to Frankfurt costs only 100,000 points plus some taxes.

Summary
Air Canada Aeroplan program is offering a mystery bonus on purchased points. While different members will get different bonus rates, the maximum bonus is likely to be 115%. With this bonus offer, members can purchase up to 1,075,000 points at CA$0.016 per point.
Aeroplan launched great bonus promotions for purchased points throughout the year but this is yet to be the best offer Aeroplan has brought up.
