Choice Privileges has been consistently selling points with a bonus but it launched one of the best promotional offers in a while since this March when purchasing points.
Buy Choice Privileges Points With A 40% Bonus
Through December 3, 2022, Choice Privileges is selling points with a bonus. The program is selling points in four different packages with different bonuses of up to 40%. However, the website states different member accounts will benefit from different bonuses so I’d recommend checking your account. Here are the packages and bonuses:
30% Bonus Package
- Buy 15,000 points with 4,500 bonus points
40% Bonus Package
- Buy 25,000 points with receive 10,000 bonus points
- Buy 40,000 points with receive 16,000 bonus points
- Buy 80,000 points with receive 32,000 bonus points
How Many Choice Privileges Points You Can Buy
Choice Privileges members are allowed to purchase up to 180,000 points per calendar year excluding the bonuses. But during this promotion, you can buy up to select points maximum to get the bonus only.
How Much Do Choice Privileges Point Cost
Choice Privileges sell points rather inconsistently. Members usually can purchase 180,000 points for US$1,854 which is around US$0.013 per point. The more the member purchase, the lesser the value of each point will be.
On this promotion, the bonus is only applied up to 80,000 points (112,000 points in total), and this costs as low as US824. This is a great rate per point as it drops down further to US$0.0074 per point.
Redeeming Choice Privileges Points
There are 12 brands where members are able to redeem Choice Privileges points. While the hotel has a huge presence with up to 7,000 hotels around 40 countries, I still have not found an interesting property to stay at. Some of the hotels I have stayed at in the past include Comfort and Quality Inn which are in Los Angeles.
Choice Privileges also does not have a published award redemption chart but generally, it cost between 6,000 points to 75,000 points a night.
Redeem Choice Privilege Points At Preferred Hotels & Resorts
If you are hesitating to spend points on Choice properties, don’t worry, there are other ways to economically redeem the points. Choice Privileges members are able to redeem points at Preferred Hotels & Resorts brand which is a collection of luxury brands around the world.
From Athens to Venice, members are able to redeem points starting from 25,000 points to 55,000 points. You can check out the participating hotels here and if you want to redeem for these hotels, you would need to call Choice Privileges customers service in order to make an award reservation.
Summary
Through December 3, Choice Privileges is offering a 40% bonus on purchased points where members can buy points at a packaged rate. Unfortunately, up to 80,000 points bought will benefit from the bonus whereas the maximum number of points allowed to purchase is 180,000.
I would not recommend buying the points as a long-term investment but more to use the points as immediate redemptions on the upcoming stays.
