When you are in need of miles, purchasing airline miles with discounts or bonuses can greatly increase the quality of your travel experience. As of today, Emirates has launched its latest promotion when buying miles.
Buy Emirates Skywards Miles With Up To A 30% Bonus

Through September 29, 2023, the Emirates Skywards program is offering up to a 30% bonus on miles purchased. Although this is not the program’s best offer ever, it has better value than the previous promotions.
The 30% bonus is applied when purchasing more than 5,000 miles up and to 100,000 miles but I am seeing some members are getting a tiered offer too. While the standard bonus offer is as above, some are also in tiers as below:
- Buy between 5,000 ~ 15,000 miles, and receive a 10% bonus
- Buy between 16,000 ~ 25,000 miles, and receive a 20% bonus
- Buy between 26,000 ~ 100,000 miles, and receive a 30% bonus
How Many Emirates Skywards Miles Can You Buy
Members are only able to buy a maximum of 100,000 miles per calendar year excluding bonuses so you are able to receive up to 130,000 miles during this promotion.
How Much Does The Emirates Skywards Miles Cost
Since you can buy up to 100,000 miles, the cost will be the usual price of US$3,000 which makes the value 0.3 cents per mile. But with the 30% bonus, you can purchase miles at 2.3 cents per mile.

Redeeming Emirates Skywards Miles
Emirates recently devaluated the Skywards redemption however it still has the best rate when redeeming on the Emirates flight itself.
Moreover, the program also has high fuel surcharges thus on flights departing from some regions. That is where the alternative way of booking Emirates comes up.
You can simply book Emirates from the Japan Airlines Mileage Bank program or the recently partnered Air Canada Aeroplan too. Here are some of the Skywards award rates on Emirates flights:
- A one-way flight from Milan to New York on Emirates first class costs 168,750 miles
- A one-way flight from Dubai to Los Angeles on Emirates first class costs 186,000 miles
- A one-way flight from Dubai to Los Angeles on Emirates business class costs 157,500 miles
Although the devaluations took place, what I like about the Skywards program is the ability to upgrade using miles at the check-in counters and even on board and you can even use the miles to upgrade an award ticket!

Summary
Through September 29, 2023, Emirates Skyward is offering up to a 30% bonus when purchasing miles. You can buy miles at 2.3 cents per mile, and if you are utilizing the miles for an award redemption or upgrades on flights, this will be a great deal.
