Buy Iberia Plus Avios With A 50% Bonus
Through May 25, 2023, Iberia Plus members who purchase Avios will receive a 50% bonus when purchasing 2,000 Avios and above in a single transaction.
There are some terms and conditions to follow:
- Avios can only be bought in specified amounts, starting at a minimum of 2,000 Avios.
- The Bonus Avios will not count towards your annual limit of 200,000 Avios.
- You must have at least one Avios in your Iberia Plus account in order to buy Avios.
When gifting Avios, the same terms and conditions are applied.
How Many Iberia Plus Avios Can You Buy
The Iberia Plus program lets you buy up to 200,000 Avios in a calendar year excluding bonuses. So with this offer members are able to earn up to 300,000 Avios during this promotion. The same conditions apply when gifting Avios to Iberia Plus members.
Iberia Plus Avios Pricing
Iberia Plus Avios can be purchased from 1,000 Avios starting from 36 euros. But the cost varies by how much Avios are purchased.
From 1,000 ~ 5,000 Avios, the prices increase consistently to 18 euros but the pricing changes from 6,000 Avios and above. The more the Avios are purchased the lower the cost per Avios.
The next thing members should be aware of is similar to Avios purchases with British Airways Executive Club, the currency varies depending on where the account is registered. And this really makes a big difference in the final price.
For example, when purchasing 300,000 Iberia Plus Avios which includes the 50% bonus:
- If your account is registered in the US, you’ll have to pay US$5,523.
- If your account is registered in the EU, you’ll pay only 3,601 euros which is around US$3,535.
Redeeming Iberia Plus Avios
Iberia Plus offers great deals when redeeming flights from Europe to the US or South America. The program also has an Avios Calculator webpage where you can check for offers and check out the Avios requirements.
The airline has notable award pricing when it comes to flying on Iberia or British Airways. For example, a one-way business class on Iberia from Madrid to New York costs only 34,000 Avios, or a one-way from Madrid to Rio De Janeiro costs 42,500 Avios.

You can also transfer Iberia Plus Avios to British Airways Executive Club, Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Aer Lingus Aerclub as they all use Avios as their frequent flyer program currency. This will allow the Iberia Plus a wide option to redeem on Oneworld partners.
When redeeming for award seats, I would recommend you find sweet spots since each individual program sometimes offers better deals.
