World of Hyatt has returned today with another great buy points promotion that will be going through next January and this is one of the best deals I have seen.
Buy World Of Hyatt Points With A 25% Discount
Through January 19, 2023, the World of Hyatt members purchasing more than 5,000 points in a single transaction, will receive a 25% off. Though the discount is a little less than what it was offering in the past, the best part of this promotion will be the increased purchase limit that I will go over below.
There are a couple of requirements before buying points:
- World of Hyatt members must be enrolled in the program for at least 60 days to purchase or receive Bonus Points. So if you just signed up for the program, you are not eligible to purchase points.
- Points can be purchased in increments of 1,000 only.
- Additional Bonus Points awarded under this offer do not count towards these maximums.
Maximum Number of Points for Purchase
Generally, the program limits the points purchased to 55,000 points per calendar year before any bonuses. However, during this promotion, it doubled the maximum cap up to 110,000 points.
This is especially amazing since Hyatt lets members combine points with other accounts when having insufficient points to book an award stay. So for example, if you are a family of four, you can purchase 110,000 points each and combine points into one account.
But you can combine points once every 30 days. This means if you would like to combine 3 other family members, it will take 90 days to be on your account.
How Much Do World Of Hyatt Points Cost
Normally, you can purchase points at 2.4 cents each starting from US$48 for a block of 2,000 points. But on this promotion, buying 110,000 points will cost as low as US$1980 instead of US$2640. That’s almost $700 in savings and as low as 1.8 cents per point.
Redeeming World of Hyatt Points
World of Hyatt has its own award chart from category 1 to category 8 hotels. It is also divided into three seasons: Off-peak, Standard and Peak. You can take a look at the award chart of Standard rooms and Standard Suites in different categories and seasons.
While I don’t frequently stay at Hyatt properties, when I do, the points are very needy when redeeming at high-category properties. I have recently stayed at Park Hyatt Seoul by redeeming 40,000 points for a suite. With these rooms going as high as US$900 nightly, I think this promotion is a good opportunity to buy points and stay longer.
World of Hyatt is offering 25% off on points purchases through January 19, 2022. And what’s best about this promotion is that Hyatt has temporarily increased the maximum purchase limit to 11,000. This will allow you to buy points as low as 1.8 cents per point.
