Choice Privileges has been consistently selling points with a bonus and it has launched its latest buy points promotion. The offer is not the best in line, however, it is considered to have a good value.
Buy Choice Privileges Points With A 25% Discount
Through June 18, 2023, Choice Privileges is selling points with a discount of up to 25% discount when purchasing a minimum point of 6,000 points. The promotion is offered in tiers however, different members are receiving different offers as well therefore it is best to check your accounts which offer you have received.
Here are the discounts based on a 25% discount:
- Buy between 6,000 points and 11,000 points and get 15% off
- Buy between 12,000 points and 19,000 points and get 20% off
- Buy between 20,000 points and 180,000 points and get 25% off
How Many Choice Privileges Points You Can Buy
Choice Privileges members are allowed to purchase up to 180,000 points per calendar year excluding the bonuses. But during this promotion, you can buy up to select points maximum to get the bonus only.
How Much Do Choice Privileges Point Cost
Choice Privileges sell points rather inconsistently. Members usually can purchase 180,000 points for US$1,854 which is around 1.3 cents per point. The more the member purchase, the lesser the value of each point will be.
During this promotion, when you maxed out the discount, you will be able to purchase points for 0.77 cents per point rate.
Redeeming Choice Privileges Points
There are 12 brands where members are able to redeem Choice Privileges points. While the hotel has a huge presence with up to 7,000 hotels around 40 countries, I still have not found an interesting property to stay at. Some of the hotels I have stayed at in the past include Comfort and Quality Inn which are in Los Angeles.
Choice Privileges also does not have a published award redemption chart but generally, it cost between 6,000 points to 75,000 points a night.
Redeem Choice Privilege Points At Preferred Hotels & Resorts
If you are hesitating to spend points on Choice properties, don’t worry, there are other ways to economically redeem the points. Choice Privileges members are able to redeem points at Preferred Hotels & Resorts brand which is a collection of luxury brands around the world.
From Athens to Venice, members are able to redeem points starting from 25,000 points to 55,000 points. You can check out the participating hotels here and if you want to redeem for these hotels, you would need to call Choice Privileges customers service in order to make an award reservation.
Summary
Through June 18, 2023, Choice Privileges is offering up to a 25% bonus on purchased points with a minimum purchase of 6,000 points. You can buy up to 180,000 points during this promotion at a rate as low as 0.77 cents per point.
I would not recommend buying the points as a long-term investment but more to use the points as immediate redemptions on the upcoming stays.
