It has been quite a time for Lufthansa to reveal the details of its brand new business class seats. The airline first announced the brand new business class seats in 2017 and it took almost 5 years to be finalized. And as of yesterday, it has revealed more details with mockups.
Brand New Lufthansa Business Class Seats
As part of the new “Allegris Product Generation,” Lufthansa promised to offer premium and quality products to customers and offer new seats and new travel experiences in all classes on long-haul routes.
The new Business Class of the “Allegris” generation will offer direct aisle semi-private seats. Furthermore, the seat walls will be at least 114cm high and will be in an alternate layout, meaning they will be in a 1-2-1 and 1-1-1 mixed configuration. All seats will have generous space in the shoulder area, ensuring greater privacy.

All the business class seats can be converted into a two-meter-long bed with 17-inch inflight entertainment screens. Wireless charging, noise-canceling headphones and Bluetooth connectivity with a PC, tablet, smartphone, or headphones, to the entertainment system, will also be offered.

The business class itself will offer seven different seat types in the cabin for passengers to choose:
- Front row suites with doors
- Extra-long bed seats measuring 2.20 meters
- Exclusive seats directly by the window
- Extra space and work seats or the throne seats
- A double seat, in which the center console can be retracted to transform it into a reclining surface for two
- A seat with a baby bassinet is located in the last row of the cabin
- Standard business class seats
Well, it surely will take some time for me to try out all seven options in the future.😅
Lufthansa Reveals Front Row Business Class Suite
Last year, Lufthansa hinted to introduce a business class suite on the first row of the cabin. This so-called suite will offer even more comfort and privacy due to higher walls and sliding doors that completely close. Passengers can also enjoy extended personal space, a 27-inch monitor, and more storage space, including a personal wardrobe.
The seats can be converted into a bed at least two meters long and are also equipped with a heating and cooling system, giving business class travelers the flexibility to set their own temperature.

Which Lufthansa Aircraft Will Feature The New Business Class Seats
The new business class seats will debut this year first on the Boeing B787-9s and then on A350s next year. However, due to recent Boeing B787 manufacturing issues, it is still unclear when the exact launch day will be.
In addition to the first class seats on Boeing B747-8s possibly or not being retrofitted, the details of retrofitting business class on the 747s are not yet confirmed.
So how many business class seats will be installed? Lufthansa will configure its Boeing B787-9s with 28 business class seats including 4 suites and 38 seats including 8 suites on the A350-900s.

Summary
Lufthansa revealed further details about its upcoming brand-new business class seats including the first row suites. There will be seven different kinds of seating options for us to choose from in the new cabin.
