Earn British Airways Executive Club Avios When Riding Uber

Later this month, British Airways Executive Club members in the UK will be able to earn Avios when riding with car sharing app: Uber.

Earn 1 Avios For Every £1 Spent On Uber

The exact date will be announced later this month but Uber users will soon be able to collect Avios on every journey by car, coach, or train booked via the Uber app. British Airways Executive Club members who link their accounts with Uber accounts will be eligible to collect 1 Avios for every £1 spent on Uber rides in the UK.

Furthermore, to celebrate this new partnership, Executive Club members who link their accounts with Uber will receive 250 Avios as a welcome gift.

Andrew Brem, General Manager at Uber UK said:

“We’re thrilled to be able to help Uber users collect Avios on every single journey they take. So everyday trips, such as going to work or to the shops is helping you to get somewhere a little more exotic with British Airways”

Avios collected via Uber rides will be eligible to be redeemed on British Airways or partner flights. Furthermore, members are able to transfer Avios earned to Iberia, Aer Lingus and Qatar Airways.

Linking Up British Airways Executive Club & Uber Accounts

To link both accounts, simply access your Uber account and enter your Executive Club account details into the Uber app in the rewards section. There is no setting needed on your actual Executive Club account as it will show in your account automatically after every Uber ride.

Like some of the major US airlines, British Airways partnered up with Uber for Executive Club members to earn Avios on Uber rides. Starting from the end of this month, for every £1 spent on Uber rides in the UK, members will earn 1 Avios.

British Airways Executive Club has been expanding its Avios currency to be collected in everyday life and Uber on board, this will allow members to get extra Avios without even flying.
