Earn Double ANA Mileage Club Miles On Flights From US

Earn Double ANA Mileage Club Miles On Flights From US

All Nippon Airways or ANA launched a promotion to US-address registered members for an opportunity to earn extra miles on flights departing from select US destinations.

Earn 2X ANA Miles When Flying From The US

Through December 31, 2022, ANA is offering double miles on flights from select US cities. This promotion requires ANA Mileage Club members to register by the end of the month and travel between January 1, 2023, through March 10, 2023.

The eligible ANA flights that offer double miles are:

  • NH101 From Washington D.C (IAD) to Tokyo-Haneda (HND)
  • NH111 From Chicago (ORD) to Tokyo-Haneda (HND)
  • NH113 From Houston (IAH) to Tokyo-Haneda (HND)
  • NH125 From Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo-Haneda (HND)

There are some terms and conditions in order to receive double miles. Codeshare flights are also permitted as long as it is with eligible ANA-operated flight. However, no other flights, except for those listed above, are eligible including flights back to the states.

Although ANA flies to 15 US destinations and to one Canadian city departing out from Tokyo’s Narita (NRT) and Haneda (HND) airports, the options are very limited here. Members perhaps should book ANA codeshared United flights to reach these four cities if they do not reside nearby.

Keep in mind that only ANA Mileage Club members with a registered address in the United States are eligible for this offer.

About ANA Mileage Club Program

Before explaining the mileage earnings, I will briefly go over ANA’s frequent flyer program: The Mileage Club.

ANA Mileage Club miles are valuable when redeemed on both ANA flights and Star Alliance partners. The program has over 36 airline partners where you can earn and redeem the miles.

Also, Mileage Club has a published award chart that starts from 5,000 miles on Japanese domestic flights. International flights from Japan can be redeemed from 12,000 miles up to 180,000 miles round trip. The program has a great redemption value on partners too.

How Much ANA Mileage Club Miles Will You Earn

Mileage Club members will earn double miles from four US destinations when booking any eligible mileage-earning fares. Except for the booking classes: O, I, R, X, the rest of the fares are eligible for mileage accrual.

For example, assuming that you own base Mileage Club status and book the highest booking fare (Y, B, M) from Washington D.C to Tokyo, you will be earning 6,762 miles. However, during this promotion, you will be earning 13,524 miles.

The double miles earned are solely by the distance flown based on your Mileage Club tier and cabin and do not qualify for additional premium points nor the premium status flight bonus miles benefit.

You can check your possible mileage earnings by using ANA’s mileage calculator.

The catch is that the ticket fares are quite expensive depending on the dates when departing from the US. For example, a round-trip flight from Washington D.C to Tokyo costs as high as 469,000JPY (US$3,415) and as low as 170,000JPY (US$1,240) in economy class. So you would need to research the travel dates carefully.

Summary

Japan’s ANA is offering double miles on flights booked from select US cities to Toyko through December 31, 2022, and travel between January 1, 2023, through March 10, 2023. In order to take advantage of the double miles offer, a US address must be registered on the ANA Mileage Club.

Thus, this is a great opportunity for US-based members to earn an unlimited number of bonus miles until March 10. ANA Mileage Club offers great award rates so the extra miles you earn will be one step closer to redemption on ANA’s amazing “The Room” and “The Suite” or many other Star Alliance partners.
