Ending Tonight! Kaligo Offering Double Miles/Points For Winter Sale

Last Thursday, Kaligo launched a four days winter flash sale, offering double miles/points on all hotel bookings. For those who are interested, today is the last day to take advantage of this promotion.

What Is Kaligo

For those who are unfamiliar with Kaligo, it is a global hotel booking platform that rewards customers with miles & points across a wide range of favorite loyalty programs. Kaligo has 24 airline frequent flyer program partners, from Alaska Mileage Plan to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club.

I have frequently used this hotel booking website from time to time as it offers great mileage deals when staying at hotels around the world.

Earn Double Miles/Points On All Kaligo Bookings

Between December 8, 2022, through December 12, 2022, Kaligo is offering double miles/points on all hotel bookings. The promotion will end at 23:59 UTC+8 time so if you have last-minute plans, I’d strongly recommend checking out the offer.

The promotional stay dates are between December 8, 2022, thru June 30, 2023, so there is plenty of time for the stays.

How To Book Hotels Through Kaligo

Since there is no registration required, it is a straightforward booking process. Firstly, visit the Kaligo website and choose your preferred loyalty program where you would want to credit miles/points earned. Then search the city where you would like to stay similar to your regular hotel booking process.

Then as the search results show up, you will find how many miles/points you will be earning per night. Then you can select the room options and complete the booking by making a payment. Make sure to input the correct frequent flyer membership number.

The bonus miles/points earned during the promotion will be credited to your frequent flyer membership account within 4-6 weeks after the completion of the required hotel stay.

Is Booking Through Kaligo Worth It

Different people have a different points of view when booking hotels from hotel booking platforms other than from the hotel’s own website/app since you will not receive elite benefits, stay, or elite night credits.

However, if you are not into hotel points, booking through Kaligo or similar websites like “Pointshound” is great to earn airline miles or points.

For example, a one-night stay at St. James Bangkok, a three-star hotel cost you US$221. But you will be able to earn 7,770 Qatar Airways Avios per night. Given that Qatar Airways sells Avios between 2.8 to 3.5 cents per Avios, you could potentially earn the lowest possible rate from some Kaligo bookings.

Since there are no earning limits if you are short of miles/points, the easiest way is to transfer credit card or hotel points to airline programs but if you do not have enough for both, booking third party miles earning websites are great substitutions too.

Some hotels offer lower mileage rates compared to pricing so you would like to avoid those hotels.

Summary

Today is the last day for Kaligo’s winter flash sale offering double miles/points on all hotel bookings. Different hotels has diffrernt mileage earning rates but if you carefully search, there are hotels with both grear rates and number of miles earned.

I have used Kaligo to book hotels in the past when they had promotions and it was defiunitely worth it to get airlines miles at a great pricing.
