The IHG One Rewards program just launched its latest bonus promotion for those who collect British Airways Avios as earning preference.
IHG One Rewards Promo: Earn Up To 15,000 Bonus Avios
Through October 31, 2023, IHG One Rewards members who elect British Airways Executive Club as their earning preference, will be able to earn up to 15,000 bonus Avios when booking a stay consisting of two nights or more.
For each stay comprising of two or more nights, you will earn 1,000 bonus Avios for up to 15,000 Avios. While there is no registration required, here are the terms and conditions for the offer:
- British Airways Executive Club members need to register as an IHG One Rewards member and select British Airways as their earning preference
- Maximum Avios award is 15,000 Avios during this Promotion
- The Promotion allows Eligible Members to earn 1,000 Bonus Avios per Two Night Qualifying Stay at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Regent Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Hotel Indigo, HUALUXE Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Club Vacations and Holiday Inn Resort, EVEN, voco, Vignette Collection, Atwell Suites, avid, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites hotels
- Avios will be deposited to the British Airways Executive Club account in 4-6 weeks
How Valuable Is This Promotion
Generally, IHG One Rewards who elect to earn British Airways Avios will earn 2 Avios per $1 spent on most IHG properties and 1 Avios per $1 spent at Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites.
1,000 Avios is equivalent to a spending of $500 therefore, if you want to collect extra Avios for your stays, I think this is a good opportunity. Based on the calculation, given that you are staying in a property costing $30 a night, you can earn 15,000 Avios for less than $900 instead of spending around $7,500.
Of course, the value of Avios per point is less valuable but if you have no use for IHG points, it won’t be bad.

The IHG One Rewards program is offering a 1,000 bonus Avios per stay for members who elect British Airways Executive Club as their earning preference. Through October 31, 2023, members can earn up to 15,000 bonus Avios after completing as low as 15 stays (30 nights).
Earning airline miles using IHG stays is not recommended given the low value however, in the case of the current British Airways offer, if you want extra Avios and don’t mind the IHG points, it may be a good deal.
