Late last month, the Marriott Bonvoy program revealed the details of its next global promotion for fall 2023. The promotion is now live as of today and if you have stays coming up, this is an opportunity to earn some extra points.
Details of Marriott Bonvoy Fall 2023 Global Promotion
As of today, September 12, 2023, Marriott Bonvoy’s next global promotion “Go Your Way” is live and you will be earning bonus points as follows:
- 1,500 bonus points per every paid stay
- 3,000 bonus points for every three hotel brands they are staying at
Based on the offer above, members will be able to earn up to 2,500 bonus points per stay.
In order to take advantage of this offer, there are a few terms and conditions you need to be aware of:
- Registration is required for this promotion
- The promotion is valid for stays between September 12, 2023, through December 6, 2023
- Registration ends November 22, 2023
- Only paid stays will be counted toward the bonus. In other words, free night award redemptions and Cash + Points Awards do not qualify
- Stays at The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott Executive Apartments, and owner-occupied weeks at Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Grand Residence Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Westin Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Club, St. Regis Residence Club and Luxury Collection Residence Club, are not eligible for bonus points for this promotion
- There is no limit on the number of times a member can earn the 1,500 bonus points on each eligible paid stay
- Bonus points will be credited to your account between 7 days and up to six weeks
- Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion
Keep in mind that some of us are experiencing issues when registering the promotion as when registering, the promotion gives an error message. In this case, you would need to contact the Bonvoy representative to manually sign up for the offer.
Is Marriott Bonvoy’s Latest Promotion Worth It?
Compared to the program’s previous global promotion, the current “Go Your Way” offer is weaker than I thought. Since the bonus points are based on a stay rather than a night, the value of points you will receive is insignificant.
The promotion is worth it if you have
- Multiple stays at inexpensive Marriott properties
- Paid stays
- Stay consisting of fewer nights
Other than that, if you are staying at an expensive property for more than two nights, the value of the promotion decreases more and more. On the plus side, you can take advantage of the bonus offer starting with your first stay but that is all the advantage I can find.
