Earlier this year, Singapore Airlines introduced unlimited free Wi-Fi services for its premium passengers. Now, this will expand to all KrisFlyer members.
Singapore Airlines Introducing Unlimited Free Wi-Fi
Singapore flag carrier, Singapore Airlines just announced its plans to extend unlimited complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi to customers in all cabin classes.
Since February 2023, the airline has offered free Wi-Fi to:
- Suites, First Class, and Business Class customers, as well as PPS Club members for unlimited use
- KrisFlyer members traveling in Premium Economy Class for three hours
- KrisFlyer members traveling in Economy Class for two hours
The passengers listed above will continue to enjoy free Wi-Fi services until June 30, 2023.
And starting July 1, 2023, Singapore Airlines will offer unlimited Wi-Fi to all cabin classes as shown below:
- Suites, First Class, and Business Class customers, as well as PPS Club members
- KrisFlyer members traveling in Premium Economy Class
- KrisFlyer members traveling in Economy Class
So basically, the 2~3 hours limit for Premium Economy and Economy Class has been scrapped and now KrisFlyer members in every class are able to enjoy unlimited Wi-Fi services.
In order to use the complimentary Wi-Fi, you must enter your KrisFlyer membership details during booking or at check-in. If you are not a member, you can sign up for the free membership online or onboard your flight via the SIA digital content portal.
Singapore Airlines Wi-Fi Improvements Over Time
When it comes to onboard Wi-Fi services, the airline made great improvements compared to the past. I remember when I flew with Singapore Airlines in the past, the Wi-Fi was really slow and expensive.
It is great to see improvements in its speed and bandwidth over time and the pricing. I am excited to fly with Singapore Airlines soon and experience how much the Wi-Fi has improved since my last flight.
Numerous airlines nowadays are offering unlimited Wi-Fi services, for instance, Qatar Airways offer unlimited Super Wi-Fi to all Privilege Club members for $8~$10 for the whole duration of the flight. Therefore, in Singapore Airlines’ case, free Wi-Fi will surely be a positive marketing strategy.
Which Singapore Airlines Fleet Feature Unlimited Free Wi-Fi?
This enhanced Wi-Fi offering will be available virtually across the entire aircraft fleet and almost the entire global SIA route network. However, the Boeing B737-800NGs will not have Wi-Fi connectivity.

Starting July 1, 2023, Singapore Airlines will be offering unlimited free Wi-Fi services for all classes. To be able to enjoy the feature, you must be a KrisFlyer member in which you can sign up during the booking or onboard the flight.
There are many airlines offering unlimited free onboard Wi-Fi however, you will still need to pay to use them. So it is great to see this happening for the first time in a major airline with unlimited data caps.
