For those who hold Chase Credit Cards, the Chase Ultimate Rewards program has just launched a points transfer promotion where you can get up to a 20% bonus when transferring to the Aeroplan program.
Transfer Chase Points To Aeroplan With A 20% Bonus
Through July 31, 2023, if you transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Air Canada Aeroplan, you will be receiving a 20% bonus. The bonus points are offered by Chase so the 20% bonus will be automatically applied at the time of transfer.
There are also no limits on the points transfer and minimum amount to receive the bonus so this is considered a great deal for those who are thinking to book an award with Aeroplan. Moreover, historically, Chase rarely offers bonuses on points transferred so this is worth the deal.
Redeeming Air Canada Aeroplan Points
Air Canada Aeroplan program is one of my favorite programs and it has a variety of airline partners to redeem points, even with non-Star Alliance members. Aeroplan has the most airline partners than any other program so it is worth buying points with extra bonuses.
There are also advantages to why Aeroplan is one of my favorites:
- Aeroplan does not charge fuel surcharges on award redemptions.
- A stopover is allowed on one-way booking for just 5,000 points additional.
- The redemption rate is based on a combination of zone and distance.
The program also does not charge a high number of points for redemptions. For example, a one-way first-class ticket on Lufthansa from Central America to Frankfurt costs only 100,000 points plus some taxes.
So with the 20% bonus, you can transfer only 83,500 points to book a 100,000 points award on Lufthansa First Class.
