United Airlines Largest South Pacific Expansion

United Airlines has announced the largest South Pacific network expansion ever to and from the continental US compared to other major airlines around the world and launching non-stop flights between San Francisco and Christchurch, New Zealand later this year.
The airline will also be the first and only US carrier to connect the US and the South Island of New Zealand. This follows after United adds nearly 40% more flights from the US to Australia and New Zealand next winter with 66 flights per week.
United Airlines Will Launch Non-Stop Flights To Christchurch
Starting December 1, United will be the only US airline to fly direct flights between San Francisco(SFO) and Christchurch(CHC) with three weekly flights on a Boeing B787-8s.
United Airlines Adds Los Angeles – Auckland Flights
Starting October 28, 2023, the airline will add four weekly flights from Los Angeles(LAX) to Auckland(AKL) on a Boeing B787-9s. This route will be added in addition to the existing San Francisco(SFO) – Auckland(AKL) route.
United is the only airline to operate flight all year around while other US carriers such as Delta and American only flies seasonally.
United Airlines Adds Los Angeles – Brisbane Flights
On November 29, 2023, United will add three weekly flights from Los Angeles(LAX) to Brisbane(BNE) with Boeing B787-9s. This new route will be also in addition to the existing San Francisco(SFO) – Brisbane(BNE) route and become the largest carrier between the U.S. and Brisbane.
More Flights And Seats To The Existing Southern Pacific Markets
Starting October 28, 2023, United will increase its flying from San Francisco(SFO) to Brisbane(BNE) and Sydney(SYD) with a daily flight to Brisbane with a Boeing B787-9s and twice daily to Sydney using Boeing B777-300ERs.
Also on October 28, 2023, the airline will be deploying Boeing B777-300ERs between San Francisco(SFO) to Melbourne(MEL) which will offer 65% more seats compared to the current B787-9s.
United Airlines’ Explosive Network Expansion
Recently, United has been busily expanding international networks recently and the Southern Pacific cities are next for the airline. The expansion to Australia and New Zealand was also largely possible thanks to the partnership between Virgin Australia and United last year.
The airline is now dominant in the Southern Pacific market as Delta and American Airlines only share limited destinations even with their partners.

Summary
United Airlines will be making a major expansion to the Southern Pacific starting next winter with up to 66 weekly flights serving destinations in Australia and New Zealand. This explosive expansion will be great as you will have more schedules to fly between the US and Australia or New Zealand.
United’s partnership with Virgin Australia will also generate more domestic destinations with easy connections and passenger experience.
